Statement of Faith

Shape Disability Services Inc. supports people with disability, mixed-ability, and neurodiverse individuals in both community and residential services. We foster relationships with local churches, believing that we are the church—because Jesus is not limited by a building.

Creed

  • We believe the Bible is the Word of God.

  • We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who was born as foretold, crucified for all our sins, and resurrected.

  • We believe He will come again to judge the living and the dead—and we better be ready!

The symbolism we relate to at Shape is Noah’s Ark, as described in Genesis. It demonstrates faith through obedience and trust in God’s word, even when facing seemingly impossible circumstances.

Noah’s unwavering belief in God’s promise to send a flood led him to build the ark—an act that defied logic and endured ridicule from his peers. This enduring faith is a cornerstone of biblical belief and a testament to the power of trusting God’s word, even when it seems improbable.

Shape Disability is like an ark—calling people with disability and their families out of a world flooded with despair, and into hope, through:

Faith in Action

  • Obedience and Trust
Noah’s faith is seen in his immediate and complete obedience to God’s command to build the ark, showing his deep trust in God’s promises and guidance, even amid scepticism.

  • Acts of Faith
Building the ark was a monumental task, requiring great effort and perseverance. Noah’s faith was tested as he carried out this work, especially in a land where floods were rare.

  • Condemnation of the World
By faith, Noah built the ark, condemning the world and highlighting the wickedness of humanity in God’s eyes.

  • Inheritance of Righteousness
Noah’s obedience and faith earned him the title of an heir of righteousness—revealing how faith brings favour from God.

  • Symbol of Hope and Deliverance
The ark became a symbol of God’s saving grace and provision—a vessel of hope and deliverance.

  • Enduring Message
The story of Noah continues to inspire us as a powerful reminder that faith and obedience, even when things seem impossible, can lead to salvation and new beginnings.
